I just got a Mac and I’m trying to download some movies with utorrent. I never had speed problems with it on my PC but now movies with good seeders are taking days to download. It depends on what your max upload is. You should limit your upload speed to about half of your max. So if your upload is 64KB/s (512kbps), then you should limit it to around 64KB/s / 2 = 32KB/s. Also, if you are behind a router, you should forward a port on your router with your mac, and set that port as your utorrent port, this definitely helps with all torrents.
